Whatever your goals may be, having the expert guidance can make a difference in achieving them.
There a misconception at times that coaching and mentoring are similar of not the same thing. However, they tend to be very different processes. Below is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that may be helpful to potential client in deciding which direction to take:
The process of obtaining/offering advice. Normally, a mentee will receive advice from a mentor who has more experience and contacts than they do in the area they are working on. Tends to be less structured than coaching and lasts for a longer period of time.
The process of partnering with someone to go through a structured approach to help the coachee see the barriers they have to achieving their desired results and take actions to overcome them.
Mentoring is imparting wisdom and guidance. The mentor takes a very active role. Whereas, coaching is about partnering with someone to help them uncover, address, and resolve their own issues.
Anytime but especially when you start something new and would welcome someone “showing you the ropes” or guiding you through it
Anytime you feel there are barriers getting in your way to achieving your desired results (in life or work).
We feel that in both instances the individuals looking for coaching or mentoring should be highly motivated and committed to being "all in" to the process and doing what’s necessary for us to help them achieve their desired results.
